LaJoy Group is seeking a Recruiter to join our team. This is a full time, temporary opportunity located in Livonia, MI.

Job Summary:

Recruiter will have the following responsibilities, not limited to; open orders, recruiting sources, hiring process and making a hiring decision or submit a candidate to the client.

Responsibilities of the Recruiter:

Open Orders:

Establish hiring criteria for each position (with the Service Manager).
Manage ongoing list of open positions, days open & candidates submitted with the Service Manager.
Participate in a weekly meeting to update management on open orders.


Create a recruiting plan for each open position and discuss with the Service Manager.
Create a job description based on the qualifications of each position and review with the Service Manager.
Generate new and maintain current recruiting sources to build a strong network to recruit active and passive candidates.
Networking for recruitment purposes:
Utilize recruiting sources to attract candidates
Post open positions in by the end of the business day.
Develop and implement effective recruiting programs.


Track number of days to fill an opening
Turnover/tenure per position at each client site.
Recruiting sources and results

Additional Responsibilities:

Meet candidate at the client site for an interview or first day on the job.
Communicate with the Service Manager and Human Resources Department on an orientation schedule, availability and/or start date.
Communicate feedback from candidates to Service Manager.
Maintain an availability list for ongoing positions.

Requirements of the Recruiter:

Excellent customer service & communication skills.
High School Diploma Required
Prior experience with customer service, employee management, recruiting and staffing a plus.
A drug screen will be required.

Schedule of the Recruiter:

Hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. Until 5:00 P.M.
This is a temporary position and will last 3-6 months.
