HOSPICE REGISTERED NURSE
MACOMB COUNTY, MI
Responsibilities of the Hospice Registered Nurse:
Provide professional nursing care to the organization s hospice clients as prescribed by the physician and/or requested by the client/family.
Complies with the state s Nurse Practice Act, any applicable licensure/certification requirements and the organization s policies and procedures.
Perform client assessments, care planning, therapeutic intervention and overall supervision of the client care and outcomes.
Provide functional support to Home Healthcare Aides and LPN s as needed.
Ability to consistently demonstrate commitment to the mission and Organizational Code of Ethics and adhere to the Compliance program
Maintain a safe working environment for self, other employees, patients, visitors and medical staff in accordance with applicable standards and procedures relevant to the position s job duties.
Requirements of the Hospice Registered Nurse:
Graduate of an approved Nursing Education program
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice
Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience as a professional acute care nurse
Home Healthcare/Hospice experience preferred
Must have knowledge of Home Care Home Base electronic charting
Exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills
Current Driver s license and reliable transportation to and from work site
Must be able to travel to various worksites or locations as required
Must be flexible to lift, pull and rotate during normal working conditions
Physical, TB test and drug screen will be required

Schedule of the Home Healthcare Registered Nurse:
Monday-Friday 9am-6pm/weekends as needed
Compensation of the Home Healthcare Registered Nurse:
$50, 000-80, 000/year based on experience
