Responsible for managing engineering team and design projects.
Salary Range: $120, 000-$124, 000
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1.Manage employees work and assign projects to team members based on project scope and skill level.
2.Mentor and develop team members. Provide feedback and redirect behavior to maximize employees contributions.
3.Direct employees on base design and proposal in accordance with customer s demand/request.
4.Create frame of base design and proposal and instruct subordinate.
5.Review layout using CAD based on Japanese OEM design layout.
6.Instruct subordinates on content of base design and the points of plan drawing.
7.Review drawings: on proposal drawing, parts drawing, assembly drawing, assembly step drawing, and color chart drawing.
8.Give instruction and advice to subordinates to ensure the highest quality level in design and drawing.
9.Decide structure against specification by customer.
10.Check contents of specification drawings, proposal drawing, parts drawing, assembly drawing, color chart drawing, assemble step drawing and parts information drawing. Give direction and advice on content and instruction to subordinate
11.Attend design review meetings, FMEA, production system check meeting and other valuation meeting with state opinion.
12.Direct and advise subordinates on design review. Proceed DR meeting, FMEA, production system check meeting.
13.Maintain detail development reports.
14.Negotiate with vendor and/or customer.
16.Assist in other areas as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1.UGNX CAD knowledge, including 2D and 3D and Solids
2.Advanced Surfacing experience
3.Microsoft Excel, Word
4.Detail-oriented, self starter, direct hands-on experience
1.Three + years managing employees
2.Minimum B.S. Mechanical Engineering degree, Masters preferred
3.Five + years CAD experience
4.Five years minimum seating experience or seat related components preferred, or
5.Ten years non-seat related mechanical experience
