Compensation for the Dispatcher:
Starting salary for this position is $12.00-$14.00 per hour
Schedule for the Dispatcher:
Duties of the Dispatcher:
Plan transportation for individuals and their caregivers, transportation requests may come in the form of telephone calls, emails or verbal requests.
Plan daily schedules for up to five different vehicles, being able to bundle multiple rides.
Schedule daily and weekly assignments for drivers, ensuring that they have their daily assignments in advanced. Must be able to make changes and communicate changes to drivers as required.
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Program Operations, coordinate agency activities with other aging network organizations, ADRC partners or stakeholders concerning transportation.
Ensure data is accurately and completely documented into proper databases in a timely manner. Develop, prepare and produce programmatic reports, as required.
Assist in transporting clients when required. Occasionally work Saturday or Holidays.
Assist with other duties, projects, outreach and other duties as assigned by the Director of Program Operations.
Associates degree in management or business related field from an accredited college or university is preferred. High School diploma/GED with combined experience in dispatching may substitute for degree.
2 years experience in dispatching vehicles, prefer experience with the elderly and those with disabilities.
Familiarity with the aging network, community organizations and resources for seniors is desirable.
Experience with data entry and data management is a requirement.
Certifications in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and Outlook desirable.
Requirements of the Dispatcher:
Has excellent interpersonal and group process skills. Is accurate, conscientious and flexible with attention to detail. Is proficient with computers, especially Microsoft Access, Excel and Outlook.
Accepts direction, is well organized, and has the ability to meet deadlines.
Willingness to work in a team environment.
Must have valid driver s license and have or be willing to get within 90 days of employment a chauffer s license.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to pass a Drug Test
